Rhythms of the harvest

Glacial stone riverbeds nurturing

ancient soils and living landscapes

Our vines take root where the earth is demanding, planted over ancient paths of crushed greywacke stone and silt. This qualitative pursuit begins deep in the soil, tracking the subtle differences of every row before harvest. Through a completely minimalist vinification process, we preserve the unfiltered identity of these plots, bringing forward the stark microclimates and honest characteristics of New Zealand's greatest terroirs.

Marlborough

Windswept maritime climates force our vines to adapt, producing unparalleled vibrancy.

Bounded by the dramatic Pacific coast, our Marlborough blocks thrive in conditions defined by intense sunny days and crisp, cool nights. The vines root deeply into ancient, free-draining alluvial silt channels. This distinct geographic tension yields a punchy flavor profile, striking mineral acidity, and an unforgettable, raw varietal purity. We source our fruit across the diverse pockets of the valley, from the ocean-influenced maritime silt of the Lower Wairau, through the stony, sun-warmed heart of the Central Wairau, to the protected, clay-dense slopes of the Southern Valleys.

Hawke’s Bay

Sun-baked stone riverbeds cradle our old vines, infusing them with structural warmth.

Located in one of the region's historic river valleys, this terroir is an intricate puzzle of heat and stone. The soil profile is heavily dominated by ancient, sun-bleached greywacke stones that absorb solar energy throughout the day, radiating it gently back to the low-yielding vines long after dusk. The result is a texturally complex Chardonnay with a beautiful flinty backbone. This complexity is drawn directly from the sun-drenched, stony terraces of the Gimblett Gravels, the elevated, cooling river loops of the Bridge Pa Triangle, and the steep, sea-breeze-cooled limestone scarps of the Te Awanga coast.

Central Otago

Glacial paths and sharp alpine frost shape a fragile, highly expressive grape.

Perched on the ragged edge of sustainable viticulture, our high-altitude blocks endure a brutal, semi-continental environment. Piercing frost, heavy UV light, and lean, schist-dominant soils force the vines to struggle intensely for survival. This natural pressure yields a dark, brooding Pinot Noir rich with earthy spice and pure structural power. Within this extreme landscape, our fruit captures unique micro-climates: the cooler, dramatic mountain passes of the Gibbston Valley, the sun-drenched, lake-moderated benches of Pisa and Lowburn, and the hot, rocky, low-yielding soils of Bendigo.
